"I'm a sucker for black and white photos, and this set has actually been a game changer for me. In the past I've had to make a lot of adjustments to a preset to fit my vision — I don't have to make quite as many with Mythos. I didn't think I'd use the colored filters as much, but they were actually helpful. The only thing I had to work at were the mist masks; I didn't know how to incorporate them without tweaks, until I opened the masks and adjusted the position and sliders to something realistic. For a specialty mask, it's a great starting point for that ethereal, spooky feel. The description says this was made for storytellers, and the product matches — this is for the creators, the ones who tell stories and craft worlds. I also think it's a great match for lifestyle photography: capturing those precious moments, making memories."
"Mythos is the perfect all-in-one black and white set. This is going to be my go-to for sessions when I want to bring the drama that only black and white can do — the emotion can't be matched! I love the combinations between the four bases, Mythos 1–4, but the fine tuning is in the filters (blue, green, yellow, red). I used to carry all these filters with my old film camera; this is so easy and gives an even better result. From there you can add Low Mist for an ethereal or even spooky vibe — it looks so natural and adjusts in the masking panel. Quintessence and Aether create dramatic, dreamlike images. The bonus border can be hard on your processor, but the results are well worth it: it really pushes that old film look with black edges and an antique feeling. I'm really looking forward to using this for an entire session this winter — I think it's going to hit on the cold, moody days!"
