Quest Presets & Profiles are designed for the newest Adobe Lightroom subscription versions — Classic, CC, and ACR in Photoshop. Follow the guide below for your platform. Always back up your existing presets before installing.
With the Creative Cloud Photography plan from Adobe — including Lightroom CC, Lightroom Classic CC, and Photoshop — importing presets and profiles is straightforward. Once installed in Lightroom, they will also be available automatically in Photoshop ACR.
-
1Navigate to the Develop module in the Lightroom app.
-
2In the Presets panel, click the plus (+) icon at the upper-right corner and choose Import Presets from the menu. Note: the + icon is only clickable when you have images loaded in the Develop module.
-
3In the import dialog, select the downloaded ZIP file. This must be the original ZIP — some browsers (like Safari on Mac) will automatically extract it. If that happens, right-click the folder and recompress it to a ZIP, or download using a different browser.
-
4That's it — Lightroom will extract and install your presets automatically. They will also now be available in Photoshop ACR.
Always keep a backup copy of your original ZIP files so you can reinstall at any time without needing to re-download.
Watch Installation TutorialIf you've already installed presets via Lightroom, they sync to ACR automatically — no extra steps needed. If you'd prefer to install directly into ACR without Lightroom, follow the steps below.
-
1Open Adobe Camera Raw in Photoshop by opening or importing a RAW file.
-
2Select the Presets editing panel — the keyboard shortcut is Shift+P.
-
3Click the … menu in the top-right corner of the Presets panel and select Import Profiles & Presets.
-
4Choose the original ZIP file of the presets you wish to import. As with Lightroom, the file must remain as a ZIP — recompress it if your browser has extracted it automatically.
ACR presets are stored separately from Lightroom Classic. If you use both apps, installing via Lightroom CC is the most reliable way to keep everything in sync.
Quest presets can be used in Lightroom Mobile — but they must first be installed on the desktop version of Adobe Lightroom CC (version 6 or newer, not Lightroom Classic) in order to sync across to the mobile app.
-
1Install your presets in the desktop version of Lightroom CC using the steps in Section 01 above. Note: Lightroom Classic CC will not sync presets to mobile.
-
2Ensure you are signed into the same Adobe account on both your desktop and your mobile device.
-
3Your presets will sync automatically to Lightroom Mobile via Adobe Creative Cloud. This may take a few minutes depending on your connection speed.
Only presets installed through Lightroom CC (the subscription cloud version) will appear on mobile. Presets installed via Lightroom Classic stay local to that desktop app only.
