Air ☴ A long, soft wind that pulls up over the whispering meadows, a tumbling breeze that twirls through the branches of the willow grove, a gust that flickers through the ocean surf and lifts its salty fragrance into the evening sky - the element of Air is absolute freedom, open space flushed with movement and with light. Our clean, light-filled Air presets captures the clarity of the subtlest element to create images of lucid purity and elegance.
Earth ☷ As we settle onto the fragrant forest floor to watch the swaying of delicate cedar fronds above us, the deep solidity of the earth fills us with rootedness and quiet strength. The source of all sustenance, the element of Earth stabilizes, nourishes and heals us with its ancient beauty. The Earth preset enriches rust, flint and earth tones to create images with extraordinary depth and grounding.
Fire ☲ The dancing flames crackle and flare as sparks rise like fireflies and vanish into the vast darkness of the night sky. The flickering light and deep heat of the Fire element fill us with an inner glow, a luminous energy that kindles our passion to create. The Fire preset brings out the natural vibrancy of a full spectrum of tones to create images that effortlessly communicate warmth, strength and vitality.
Spirit ☰ Spirit is a force of nature, a gypsy traveler, a nomad whose home is the world itself. Her hair loose and the pockets of her rustling skirts filled with brambles and seeds, Spirit streams through our imaginations with her endless creativity and carefree joy. The Spirit preset infuses images with a light, bohemian feel by enriching warm pastel tones and delicate hues reminiscent of wild plum blossoms.
Water ☵ Murmuring and chuckling through our fingers, the cool waters of the forest creek slip down through the little gorge to join the placid bay below, its sunlit waters a shimmering reflection of the moving sky. The element of Water embodies a liquid tranquility, a ceaseless ebb and flow that soothes and yet awakens as it flows. "I love Air and Spirit — these two suit my style most, with true skin-tone colors and bright whites. Air gives my images clarity and a crispness that's perfect for the beach photos I mainly shoot, while Spirit resembles Air but brings more softness — that bohemian feel I love in my work. With the set's added grain and the tonal tool, adding a little texture to my subject is a breeze. Earth ran a touch too warm and magenta for my taste, though I can see it being a popular pick with other photographers, and Water is beautiful but softer than I go — if you're after that muted look, it's the one for you.
