Our Quest Lab photographer spotlight this time is California-based photographer Jamie LeMaire Photography, whose epic Big Sur images always take our breath away! Jamie uses two Canon R6 bodies, 35mm, 85mm, 24mm, and 70-200mm to capture her adventurous photos.

We caught up with Jamie about her inspiration, tips, and favorite gear!
What or who inspires your photography?
My clients inspire my photography, the Big Sur landscape, Henry Tieu.
Maley Photo is one of my favorite photographers. His images of couples are so real effortless. I am sucker for flying birds, and he captures them beautifully.
What’s your favorite bit of gear and why?
My harness! I have constant back issues, and this thing saves me during long adventure elopements.
My favorite piece of gear is my 24mm lens. This helps me to capture the gorgeous Big Sur landscape in all of its beauty.

What’s your favorite photography tip?
Take chances! A mistake might just make the most creative and beautiful photograph you've ever taken.
Keep your subjects moving! This is the best way to get cinematic images that make the viewer feel something. Get to know your clients before the shoot so that you can have them interact authentically.
Don't overdo it. It took me a long time to learn this. Don't go too heavy on saturation. Don't get too posey with your clients. Don't deliver hundreds of images. Don't get too technical. I want my images to look and feel like real life, not some overly processed photo that has no authenticity.
