Archipelago Presets is a company that creates curated collections of presets for Adobe Lightroom.

Archipelago Presets has an online shop that includes:

  • The Core Collection - 4 preset collections designed to fit specific genres of editing: true to color, earthy, filmic, and moody.

  • Toolsets and Effects - Preset tools that can be used in combination with any base or color grading presets to improve your editing workflow or add special effects.

  • Limited Releases - Preset collections released for a limited time that are different from the Core Collection.

  • The Archive - Older or classic Archipelago Presets that are available to purchase.

Archipelago Presets collections range in price from $80 USD to $120 USD. They typically include 6 color and/or black and white presets and a unique, dedicated toolset in each collection, as well as one or more creative profile(s).

Archipelago Quest is the budget-friendly preset subscription by Archipelago Presets.

The benefits of the subscription are:

  • Each month, our preset developers create Quest preset collections for Quest subscribers to download for free. They typically include three preset variations and a few tools, as well as a dedicated creative profile.

  • Past Quest presets (ones that were released before the current monthly preset) are available to purchase at discounted pricing for Quest subscribers in the Quest Archive.

  • Quest subscribers can claim a free Archipelago Membership (which we will explain later in this article) on the Quest Member Homepage.

  • Since new Quest presets are released monthly, our developers use the latest Adobe technology to make the new Quest sets as current and state-of-the-art as possible.

The Archipelago Quest Subscription ranges in price as low as $10 USD per month for the 6 month subscription ($60 USD) or $12 USD per month for the 3 month subscription ($36 USD).

Archipelago Presets collections are not part of the Quest Subscription.

Archived Quest Presets can be purchased at full price outside of the Quest Subscription.

One of our most asked questions is: What's the difference between the Archipelago Membership and the Quest Subscription?

First of all-- the price difference.
The Archipelago Membership is only $15 USD per year, and the Quest Subscription is as low as $10 USD per month if you sign up for a 6 month subscription (3 month subscription is $12 USD per month).

Second-- The Quest Subscription INCLUDES an Archipelago Membership!
You just have to claim the membership on the Quest Members Homepage if you're a subscriber!

Archipelago Membership Benefits: DISCOUNTED Archipelago Presets in the Members Shop
Plus EARLY ACCESS to new presets we launch, the ability to become an Archipelago Ambassador, and occasional giveaways!

Quest Benefits: The Quest Subscription gives you a brand new Quest Preset every month
Download a new Quest Preset released every month, plus exclusive pricing on past Quest Presets in the Quest Archive, and of course, a free Archipelago Membership!

So which one is better?

Well, if you only want discounts and early access, sign up for the Archipelago Membership. If you want presets to play with every month in addition to the Membership, subscribe to Quest! There's no right answer, it totally depends on what works best for you!
